Hi there! :D

Thanks everyone for writing! I love hearing from you, and am excited to hear from more of you!

So Dave and Ruth have still been doing very well! Thank you so much for your prayers! Rohen and Barry are also progressing well, and have benifited from your prayers as well. Please keep praying for me and them! :)

One lady we chapped into said the teenagers talked in the furby language - that they were just incomprehensible. XD
I heard sister Jones would be coming to our mission, but found out it was a different sister Jones from what I knew from the missionary choir, which was really funny when I saw her for the first time... X)
We've been looking for a new flat, considering ours has been a wrek for a long time.
We saw someone who had "radiation fallout charts", wee charts you spin to see how dead you are when you are X miles away from a nuclear blast.
And I had liver for the first time!! Lamb liver was actually quite good, and we both enjoyed it. :)

Love you all! Keep praying for me!

Elder Goldie

Us at our last district meeting with Elder Clement

 Elder William Kevin Black

The Groundhog saw its shadow

... or something like that. So I'm staying in Kilmarnock for another 6 weeks at least!

Thank you for all your prayers for my investigators! Dave and Rohen both got answers to their prayers, though they are both quite a bit like me, so are still a wee bit skeptical. But please keep praying for them, that god will continue to answer their prayers!

So I made a really good stew, though it turned out a bit more like a curry...
It had sweeds (a kind of turnip), carrots, parsnips, and a wee bit of potato. So it was a good stew. But then I added some spices and milk, and it became really sweet, and the milk made a sort of curry-like sauce... Anywho. I was very proud of the work of mine hands. ^u^

The work in Killy is going much better than at first - we've now many people we're teaching, and we have a lot of friends we've made who are listening to us! :)

Thanks for your prayers and your letters!
Keep on being the brilliant people you are!! :D
Love,
 Elder William Kevin Black

This picture doesn't capture a third of the beauty of the sunset we saw... It was absolutely stunning. :) The house on the left is our investigator Dave, as follows
Dave and Ruth are pretty much the nicest and coolest people I know. One rainy night, they had pity on us, and let us in. Then he mentioned he was a chef for a pub, but had no one to cook for now, and I mentioned we could help with that problem. X) We've been seeing him every Sunday since, and he's gone from no real belief in god to praying to him regularly, reading and pondering the scriptures.
Unfortunately, he was sick the day we took the photo, but he was a champ and stood up for it. XD Please keep praying for him and his mom Ruth! :)
Oh, and Dave plays Deckaron, and is one of the leading players of it! His mom says she would join our church if she weren't so aged, but she loves all the things we've been teaching, and is overjoyed we've gotten her son to pray for the first time in his life. :) Yeah. They're brilliant.

Week 5 Ahoy!

So! This has been a great week! We've had

In my letter to president I said:
This week has been brilliant. Though the lesson count was low, there was a huge increase of the progress of our investigators!
Here's a short summary:
Barry - was planning to be at church, but had domestic issues rise. Very nice, believes all we've taught so far
Dave - studying, pondering, and praying over the book of mormon!! Though was agnostic, prayed for me! Read to 2 Ne 8!!!
Rohen - studying, pondering, wasn't willing to pray, but promised to pray this week!!!! Read to 1 Ne 17!!!
Stuart - studying and pondering, has had experience with bad spirits, and is worried to pray, but is thinking about it
Me looking epic!

I love you all! Sorry for brevity!
Have a fantastic week! :D

Magic Wool Jumper! (Sweater for you Yanks)

It turns out that the jumpers here have a magical property: when put through the wash, the automatic hug setting activates! But it's unfortunately one use only...

But this week has otherwise been all right... One of our investigators, Dave, surprised us by reading all of first Nephi in about a week! 0u0

Word of the week is capricious, which defines me to a T. Guided by whim. X) I often make decisions guided by whim, but I have a core logic, nonetheless.

Sorry for the brevity, the computer was being difficult. Enjoy the Killy lights! Kilmarnock has a train running through it, and under the bridge are these gorgeous blue lights... It's really beautiful in person, and the camera doesn't do it justice.
Love you all! Thanks for writing me! :)
